Introduction
Shruti Verma Biswas is a practising advocate with more than nine years of experience, focused on intellectual property, particularly trademarks and copyrights, alongside commercial contracts and litigation.
Enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2015 and qualified in the All India Bar Examination, she has developed considerable experience in IP prosecution, enforcement and advisory. Her work includes handling trademark and copyright portfolios, conducting clearance searches, responding to examination reports, filing and defending oppositions, preparing evidence and representing clients before the Trade Marks and Copyright Registries.
Her commercial practice covers the drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of agreements, including NDAs, employment and service agreements, MOUs, settlement agreements, assignment and licensing agreements, and collaboration and distributorship contracts. She also advises on contractual compliance and risk management.
Her experience spans law firms and corporate legal roles, including work in IPR enforcement and general litigation. She has been appointed a Local Commissioner by the Commercial Courts, Delhi, and has served as a trainer and speaker for police officials on IPR infringement and enforcement.
